Experience the challenge of a life time and raise funds to support HIV orphans and destitute children in Kenya.
Climb Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route:
Day 1: Depart London & arrive in Nairobi,
transfer to Moshi in Tanzania.
Day 2: Begin ascent of Kilimanjaro through the Rain Forest to the Mti MKubwa Camp (2750m).
Day 3: Climb through the Heather Zone to Shira I Camp (3610m).
Day 4: Cross the Shira Plain, climb the ‘Cathedral’ & along Shira Ridge to Shira II Camp (3840m).
Day 5: Climb up to the Lava Tower (4600m) and decend down to Barranco Camp (3950m).
Day 6: Scramble up the Barranco Wall and traverse to Karanga Camp (3950m).
Day 7: Climb up to Barafu Camp (4700m), after a rest begin the Summit attempt at midnight.
Day 8: Ascend to Uhuru Peak (5895m) & decsend to Mweka Camp (3100m).
Day 9: Descend to Mweka Village and transfer to Moshi.
Day 10: Transfer to Nairobi & Fly to London Heathrow.
There will be the opportunity to extend your stay and visit our work in Kenya. This will involve visiting our day care centres for HIV orphans and destitute children, and working with the children. This option will add about four days to your trip.
